The Raphah Retreat

Join me on Saturday September 19th, 2026 for the Raphah Retreat in beautiful Kananaskis! Spend the day out in nature where we can breathe deeper, see things differently and think more clearly. This day retreat is focused on sharing all the things I love to do most - Hiking in the mountains, Yogalates, and eating together:) Let's get outside and share great conversation and laughter with other women!

On September 19th, we will all leave together from my house in Coventry Hills at 8:30am. We will carpool, please contact me if you're willing to volunteer to drive others as well. It is a 1.5hr drive south to where we are heading in the Bluerock Wildland Park. This is a moderate rated hike of approximately 9km in length. Once at the top of the mountain, we'll have a quick snack then a short and easy Yogalates stretch class. After hiking back down, there will be an outdoor picnic waiting for us to relax by the river. The Picnic food and drinks are included, plus there will be door prizes! We'll likely arrive back in Calgary at 6pm.

The original Hebrew word that is used for 'still' in Psalm 46:10, is the word 'Raphah' - which means 'to sink down, relax, let go, to cease striving'. So then, to 'be still' doesn't mean that we should simply be quiet, it means that we should stop frantically fighting our way through life in our own strength, refocus our direction and learn to trust God.

I hope that this retreat will help you on your journey of learning how to 'be still'.
